Welcome to Heroes/Troops Match Tips 7. Today we are going to talk about 3 dominating skills for cavalry and archers, they are: Pike Wall, Volley and Rush Attack.
Pike Wall: Increases Infantry attack and the chance that Spearmen use Assault to attack Cavalry.
Volley: Increases Archer’s attack and the chance that Archers use Stunning Accuracy to attack Spearmen.
Rush Attack: Increases Cavalry attack and the chance that Cavalry attack Archers directly.
In the new battle logic, Shieldmen are a must in a dispatch because, usually, the front row units take damage before the rear units. That is to say, all the rear units such as archers, cavalry, Spearmen, and so on will not be attacked till all front row units have been killed.
However, in real battles, due to the specialty of Cavalry and Archers (attacking the rear units of the enemy directly), they can go around Shieldmen, so Shieldman sometimes can only take part of the damage, rather than all. In addition, Pike Wall, Volley, and Rush Attack add a boost to these specialties, allowing your rear units to attack enemy rear units.
Here are some practical examples:
Attacker’s troops and heroes: T10 Shieldman 80,000, T11 Spearman120,000; max level Gideon, Faceless Knight
Defender’s troops and heroes: T10 Shieldman 80,000, T11 Cavalry200,000; max level Kavehn, Rui-Anh-Ga
In the first battle report, heroes for both sides were not equipped with any skills, and the attribute gap is very small. Even though the attacker’s troops countered the defender, the total troop gap is 100K, so the failure is quite expected.
In the second battle report, Gideon was equipped with max level Pike Wall, and the defender remain intact. This time the attack succeeded with significantly higher kills, while the enemy rear units were slaughtered.
